Streamlining distribution channel management
Early Internet marketers (circa 2000) lacked the affiliate management tools and platforms available today. The process of enrolling affiliates, creating links, tracking traffic, reporting and calculating commissions was a cumbersome process, involving three persons engaged in manually issuing affiliate campaign links and collating and posting traffic and sales reports.
For FreeSpark, an internet marketing firm, Third Coast designed and worked with IT personnel to implement an automated, self-service internet affiliate enrollment and management platform. The new platform featured affiliate self-enrollment, self-serve link creation and creative access, and near real-time reporting. Affiliates could then deploy campaigns featuring FreeSpark promotions at will. Automatically collected, collated and posted reporting data fed directly to an audited commissions calculation and payment system.
THis reduced the cost of affiliate management by approximately 60%.
